Jabiru North America shutting down -Arion Aircraft absorbing

Postby ldmill » Sun Apr 01, 2018 10:10 am

Pete just posted on the JabiruNA website and sent emails out that they are shutting down. He’s decided to retire. Nick Otterback is going to absorb the Jabiru engine and firewall forward business into his Arion Aircraft ccompany. Details of the support are documented on the JabiruNA website. Below is an excerpt:

“I will be hanging around for a while helping with tech support and in general helping in the business transition. Engine and parts orders in the Jabiru North America pipeline before April 1st, 2018 will be fulfilled by Jabiru North America, LLC and when those deliveries are completed the company will close for good.”

Good luck Pete - thanks for all the years of help!!

I've received the email like probably several hundred owners. I was curious as to the no mention of the future of Jabiru Aircraft in the U.S.?
Don't own one but always wonder about support for any products that have been introduced to the U.S. market?
Hopefully, support will be around for those owners as well.

I am looking to purchase Waiex N62YX with a Jabiru 3300. Should I be concerned?

I don't think so;
I requested a quote after talking to Pete:

You will notice that the agreement is with Arion Aircraft, LLC instead of Jabiru North America. Reason is that I am retiring as of end of day today and I have sold the business to Arion Aircraft, LLC. Arion is a company I founded in 2004. They are located in the hangar next door to us and have deep experience with Jabiru engines and homebuilt aircraft. I know they will take good care of you.
