Oil thermostat

Hi all,
Been looking at the oil thermostats for the jab engines. Thinking of ordering the thermostasis unit, about $130. It would regulate the oil temps on the low end to about 190 degrees. Maybe save stress on the oil cooler with cold temps. The engine. Would warm to operating temp quicker.
Jab USA ha s them.
Aircraft spruce has. One for the rotax 912,and other models for different generic applications. Maybe some thing would work for the aerov ee.
Anyone using a oil thermostat unit?

Hi Michael, there are 4 Corby Starlets at my airfield fitted with Jab 2200 engines and I think all, or at least most of them use the oil thermostats. I have been told that they work well, speeding up the oil warm-up time. The 2200 uses a smaller oil cooler but on the Starlet the cooler is fully exposed to the incoming air so they probably need them to maintain correct temp in cold weather too.
