mykitlog.com.....

Postby n502pd » Sat Dec 09, 2017 12:04 am

I hope this is ok to ask, and is in the right place....

To those who use Mykitlog.com:

Tonight I tried to log onto mykitlog.com data input program, but for some reason it is saying 'a network isnt available..." and wont let me do anything to add recent happenings. I am not sure what is going on, but I will ask if anyone else has had a problem thoight, 12-08-17 roughly 2130 cst. Usually I get a nice yellow screen then it opens to my data input screen. I am not sure of the site workings, or if I have been doing these entries off line (I think so) but there have been no changes to my local network, and I do have internet normalcy, connection wise. If kitlog is broke and anyone knows how to fix it or at least contact them, I would appreciate that info. Otherwise I guess I am stuck.

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas, or fixes!!

Hi Joe,

I also use Kitlog for my Sonex construction project. The data entry is done offline, so the software should not be looking for a network connection until you click the "Post to Internet" button inside the Construction Log portion of the application.

I have experienced a snafu where the software reports "No Response" shortly after I begin the "Post to Internet", but if I let it continue it will finish the upload and all is well.

Thanks for the reply, Terry! that is how I remeber how it worked,...off line. so I guess now I am stuck with no native software that functions, for some reason. Maybe my shortcut icon/data/?? has a hicup in it somewhere, but I dont really know how to address it without totally messing it up, if I have not done so already. I will investigate why the short cut seems to be pointing to the installation program, and not to the application program. I am not even sure if the application program is still on my computer. I sure dont want to buy another copy of mykitlog.

Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!`

Joe,

To verify all is well with the shortcut to run the KitLog Pro application, right click on the icon in question, then click properties.

in the window that appears, the text in the field labelled Target should have KitLog Pro v2.0, and the text in the field labelled Start In should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Aeroware\KitLog Pro v2.0\

Click Cancel to close the window.

thanks for the verrification. I did what you said, and all was as you showed, except I do not have '(X86)' anywhere. Before I mess with it, what do you suspose the X86 is there for? Bear in mind, I am using XP, sp3. And not much of a software geek!!

Thanks much!

Joe,

The Program Files (x86) folder is only present with 64 bit operating systems, if you are running XP it is normal for there to be no (x86) folder.

What screen appears when you run the application, including any error messages?
