flap handle grip dimensions (for 3d printing)

Postby kevinh » Tue May 16, 2017 7:20 pm

Hi ya'll,

Alas I've been out of the country and unable to work on my Waiex until June. However, I've been experimenting with 3d printing and would like to make at least _some_ plane progress. So I'm going to try printing a flap handle in a wood/PLA mix. Unfortunately I don't have my plans with me. Would someone be willing to tell me the dimensions of the aluminum bar stock and the length of the portion that is bent over in the top?

Kevin, the bar is 3/16 thick, 1" wide. I just measured my bent over section, which is covered by a grip, and it measures about 4-1/2". If I can find that part in the plans, I'll confirm that later.
