MGL vs GRTand other avionic comments

I am ready now to make my avionic component selections. If any of you have suggestions or plus or minus comments regarding MGL vs GRT, I would be interested.

Also I am interested in how much wiring passes through the firewall for each system.

Also if any of you have used avionics for sale at a reasonable price, I would be interested.

I'm MGL equipped all the way. Everything works as advertised. Installation couldn't be simpler. All the engine wire/data ahead of the fire wall connects to the ARDAC and one data wire carries all the data back to the panel. Daisy chained into it is the horizon and compass. The radio is the knob/turn version. I was told by another user that the touch screen is hard to use in rough air.
