Seatbelt Airbag

I think I saw this in a recent AOPA magazine. In an addition to training for an engine out, a seatbelt airbag could make a big difference in survivability, and prevent brain damage in a less then ideal forced landing.

Much lighter than a parachute, but of course, not intended to replace that function.

I can see them being the norm in general aviation in the not too distant future. It would be nice to add this as a safety feature.

Thanks for the info.I noticed in the installation video ,there was no mention of the owner installing the device ,which would make the cost more prohibitive.
If they ever develop one for experimental aircraft that the builder can safely install I would probably invest in one.It would be cheap insurance in a controlled crash.
