Hi Bryan,
Great stuff. One word of caution, im sure you are aware, is handpropping, never wrap your fingers around prop. Not sure if that old luscombe has impulse coupled mags or not. Would hate to see that engine kick back, broken fingers and not being able to work on your waiex. Bravo to adam for starting his flight lessons. Especially at C77!!

Sorry that our weather did not clear out until close to noon here at 3my. Was looking forward to seeing you and Josh. Despite the weather we had 4 homebuilt planes at the fly in. The weather has not been good I on the dates we picked for the fly in either last year or this year. Maybe next year. Thanks for trying.

Just got back from the Udvar-Hazy center, which of course is part of the Smithsonian/National Air and Space museum. They have inducted the Sikorsky X2 into the museum:

You may notice the Collier Trophy on the right. The X2 team won it for 2010. I designed & built the FBW for the X2, hardware & software. Plus I was the architect for the prop control and had input into (and a patent for) the driveline arrangement. My first time in the Air & Space museum, back in 1989, I was awed. Never would I have dreamt to have an aircraft go there that I had a big hand in. It was beyond awesome. It was also very cool to see Sikorsky friends that I have not seen in years. If you ever get to Udvar-Hazy be sure to check it out. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, unless they want the Waiex. I may be willing by 2056 or so, but I am not sure if Adam would agree.

This was a little out of the neighborhood.

Another hand propping video. Weather is spectacular. The L4 sneaking by in the background is owned by Adam's instructor.

I had the Champ up to Reading (class D) today for a tower tour.

I like the jet in the background. My wife said the Champ looked like the little airplane that could

Randy from TN stopped at Poplar Grove on his way to Oshkosh. I spotted him and stopped to say hi. He was just about to depart. Image

We blew up the golf cart again. Cruising at speed it made a bad noise and a sudden stop. The belts are shredded.

We towed it back with the trusty 1967 Wheel Horse, which is for sale.
