Has a NTSB Final been issued for N123SX?

The final report is still pending. I'm not sure when it will be released. The NTSB doesn't work all that quickly!

Looking at the investigations from that same time period there are a lot of them that are not completed yet. Not sure if it is staffing issues or who knows what.

Also, I looked at the investigations soon to be completed looking for another incident with an ultralight crash near my house. 2 things stick out. First, 123SX crash isn't listed as nearing completion. Second, the crash I was looking up was in early July of 2014 and is due for completion on November 10th this year. So, who knows how long it my take.

I asked the NTSB about this at the Type Club Coalition meeting at Oshkosh in July. No final report is expected soon. I was told they are still investigating

It can be frustrating but when it deals with a fatality, they are pretty thorough before releasing the final report and it can take years. Finals can be pretty quick when there's no injuries and the pilot admits an obvious mistake and the cause can be determined due to pilot error.
There was a pretty good TV series on Alaska NTSB investigations (one of the cable channels) that goes through the process and how they approach an accident.

The NTSB has a relatively small staff. Most of the accident investigations are actually performed by the FAA and simply signed off by the NTSB. The NTSB concentrates their limited manpower on higher profile accidents. They work on their own schedule and won't release information till they're done.

Things from the write up that stick out at me...

Did the plane have a smoke system installed? I'm guessing no.

Doesn't a 1700 foot ground run seem excessive in any Sonex (especially one with 100hp)?

It seems the turbo may have seized but I didn't feel anything pointing to it as a smoking gun and, since it had impact damage, I don't think they'll be able to say for sure.

100ft AGL when the turn started feels like "The Impossible Turn".

The two other things that stood out to me is the mixture at almost idle cutoff off and the note about a previous partial turbo failure only being able to maintain altitude and not climb. No solid conclusions to be.made other than no internal engine breakage other than the turbo.

The idle cutoff is a non-starter to me since the carb broke free of the engine and the cables were still attached. Given the nature of mixture and throttle hookup on the Aerocarb I can see how impact easily could've moved the mixture/throttle so they ended in any position.
