Single stick in Waiex legacy model

Postby dbdevkc » Fri Oct 21, 2016 10:36 am

What is involved in building the legacy Waiex with a single center stick instead of the supplied dual stick option? Dual stick was the only option available when I purchased the kit. I vaguely recall that initially the factory said you can't do it, then conceded and said you can, but 'you need to modify X, Y, Z'.

Hi Mike,

Please send me your info on the center stick mod.

I'd love to have this for my Waiex.

Thanks,

The single stick waiex requires a single stick yoke, aileron pushrod extenders or new aileron pushrods, and a custom modified pushrod from the yoke to the idler under the seat. It can't go straight back but needs to drop down near the floor right behind the yoke to clear the swing of the yoke. Message me and I'll take some pictures when I pull the seat plan out.

Hi John,
I tried to send you a PM but can't get the web page email system to work.
My private email is in my previous message on this topic, and is repeated below.
Any info you could provide would be appreciated.
After my 5 hour phase 1 program for the new engine is complete I will put the plane down for maintenance and mods. Among other things, I'll be installing those nice toe brake pedals I got from you!

Best regards,
Don Bowen
