Thanks everyone, I have over 100 subscribers so now I have a channel URL!

http://www.youtube.com/c/JimHicke

P.S.1 - I'm working on an article about landing gear issues. If anyone wants to private msg me about issues or solutions please do. I've done a search of our forum and the old Yahoo Forum but would love to hear directly from owners.

P.S.2 - I'm working on an update to the Alaska trip but if you are at all interested, make sure you get your passport up-to-date.

P.S.3 - Thanks for all the comments on the YouTube site. I may not be good at answering them all, but I do read them and appreciate the feedback.

I flew out to Aircraft Spruce's West Coast customer appreciation day and took some video over the Southern California coast on the way back.

Very inspiring once again, Jim!

How about a trip to Catalina? I'd like to see that once again as my GoPro battery went dead 10 minutes from landing when I was there... :x

I posted a new video with a new GoPro camera location. I recently suffered a brake tab failure on the axle and wanted to look at the amount of landing gear shudder with the repair. I'm really happy with the repair and will do a full write up in the next Sonex Foundation newsletter. So far, so good.

The new video is of me and my brother flying from Ramona out to La Jolla Cove and back with scenery shots from the belly mounted GoPro. The resolution is only 720 because I filmed in 720/120fps for the slow motion shots.

Hi Jim,

I sent you a PM, but not sure if it made it.

I'd like to correspond with you regarding your disc brake installation and the tab failure.

I'm getting ready to install the Sonex disc brakes on my Waiex and I'm concerned the tab may not be strong enough.

My email is donbowen_2000@yahoo.com

By the way, I really like your videos!

Best regards,

Don Bowen
