Any info forthcomming on part number, brand and maybe source for the poly engine mounts? I am in the middle of engine install and sure would like to replace them prior to engine start, and cowelling work!

I haven't actually been to the shop again to verify that these bushes are the same dimensions and part no but just looking on the net they seem to be the ones. They are standard shock absorber rubbers for the top pin.

OK, I am REALLY missing something here. We are looking for bushings, made of polyureathane. Got that. But, there are a whole lot of cars in the world, and I would guess that the shock bushings MAY be different. If not, then that is the problem...they are all the same. But from my limited experience in sourcing things, I sort of need a starting place. What car/truck, maybe model and year, just something as a hint of where to start. Like I said, I am missing something! thanks for any help to an old phart!!

Oh K, here is what I found out with a couple of hours serfing. The bushing number given, SPF-2092BK, is used, as well as in many other places, of Toyota Celicas, 1.6L, 1978-1984. That info came from one of the many supplier sites I visited. Other sites also indicated the bushings were for the sway bar end links, not shock bushings, and no info found if the top shock bushings might be the same anyway. But they may be. I stopped my search when I found the end links.

Going to Summit site, I searched on sway bar end link bushings for 78-84 Celica, and found part number ENS 9.8122R, which is a kit with 8 poly bushings,the same size at the SPF-2092BK as far as I can tell and two grade 5 bolts and nuts, as a kit for the sway bar end links. $20.97. Maybe a bit better than from the wonderful land down under, shipping and time wise.

So I ordered them. There are also four heavy duty washers, but I fear the hole will be too large for the AN bolt in use on the Sonex mount.

Snug on the tube, close on the X mount. I assume when I sock down a bit they should squeeze in nicely.
