Wing rigging practice hole

Fellow builders,

I want to rig the wings this weekend, so I practice drilled a hole using a double margin 3/8 drill with 1/4" pilot, through a a scrap piece of 1-1/4" Aluminum. The hole ended up .005 bigger than the AN 3/8" bolt. I haven't been able to find anywhere on the plans that specifies the hole to be tight fit, sliding fit, ETC. However, I thought it was to be a tight fit hole.

That being said, I have read the factory has used a typical clevis pin which is certainly not a precision fastener and could easily be off by .005". Maybe I'm wrong on this and it was an aviation grade pin?

Can someone advise me on this? I'll need an oversize bolt for my situation since this double margin drill makes an .005 oversize hole, unless it doesn't need to be a tight fit hole.

My bolts require some effort to tap into place.

I used a NAS double margin bit and the hole came out about .005 over. I bought 2 NAS bolts and did not use them. I had to use hammer and a bullet to get AN bolts through the hole. With the AN bolt you will have about .007 or so clearance. Anything less and it will be very difficult to get a bolt through. If I was happy about anything on my build the bolt fit when rigging the wings was it.
