Flying to Gaston's White River Resort in a Sonex!

Postby nwawingman » Sat May 07, 2016 10:25 pm

05/06/2016 - I had never flown into Gaston's before, so I asked my friend Mike if he would fly over with me and lead the way in. Gaston's has one way in on 24 and one way out 06 so it can be a little hairy if the winds are high. Today the weather was perfect! Calm winds and 75 degrees. I was sure glad I had watched other videos of arrival and departures before flying in for the first time. We had a great lunch at the restaurant and spent some time enjoying the scenery around the resort. Such a relaxing place to visit. If you ever want to take a weekend and do some trout fishing in the Arkansas Ozark, Gaston's White River Resort 3M0 is the place to go.

That's pretty cool, Rick. I've been in there in a Bell 47 and a Piper Arrow. Last time was probably 1995. Looks about the same.

Thanks for sharing.
