Fraud alert

I was contacted by a person who claimed to be Adam Johnson. He was responding to a wanted to buy add I placed on Barnstormers for an engine. He provided pictures, contact information and he had good answers to my questions. However I contacted Scott Casler from Hummel and he had not built him an engine. I emailed him to ask if he had bought it used and gave me a name. Scott Casler did indeed build an engine for that person. I was able to find that person on the Sonex builders website and emailed him. That person did not know Adam Johnson and the engine that Scott built is on his plane. After forwarding the email pictures he informed me that they were copied from his website. The short of it is that these people can pull information from our websites and have a lot of knowledge to complete the sale. I am not sure exactly how he expected to pull this off because I informed him I was close enough to come see the engine. Anyway be aware, verify the seller, and the products.
