Microair Avionics

Postby Waiex 49 » Fri Mar 11, 2016 1:56 pm

My Waiex is equipped with a Microair Avionics transponder that is in need of repair.

I have done some research and found that Microair does not have any factory approved service center in the United States.

I contacted Microair via e-mail and they seem very happy to fix my transponder. The rates seem reasonable, but I will have to pay for shipping to and from Australia and there is additional waiting time for repairs being performed so far away.

Does anyone have experience with a good avionics shop in the US that is familiar with Microair products? If I could find a shop that knows what they are doing then I could save time and money involved in sending my transponder "down under".

Thanks in advance,

Don Bowen

If anyone needs repairs on MicroAir radios I would recommend contacting Rick Lord at MicroAir USA (www.microairusa.com). Great service, easy to deal with, fast turn around and reasonable rates.
