Here is another idea for wiring carry through for the folding wing(courtesy of a builder over at onexplans :idea: )Seems like it would be very light weight .

Onex # 31 over at onexplans has put this to use and it looks pretty sweet No wires to worry about getting pinched when you drop the wing down and easily serviced if it needs replacing due to water infiltration ,though I think an application of white grease will eliminate this problem completely. Here's another option, intended to connect door lock circuitry in a mini-van's sliding door:

I searched around for more photos showing the back sides of the parts, but no luck. The contacts appear to be solid brass molded into the plastic, so they should be fairly weatherproof.

I'm tempted to buy a couple pairs just to see how they work. If I do, I'll post better photos and quality impressions.
