I worked at AF Plant 42 in the mid 80's with North American Rockwell on the B-1 project.
I was in a building next to a ramp where an SR-71 was doing an engine run up.
Loudest thing I ever heard! I thought the building was going to come off its foundation! We all had our hands over our ears and big grins on our faces!
The Antelope Valley is a very cool place indeed!

The date of my flight was December 13th, 1996. We arrived at Fox Field late in the afternoon, probably around 4 PM or so. We stopped for fuel before continuing on to Bullhead City, AZ for the overnight stop.

Seeing that plane in the air was pretty cool!
