Discovery Lite iEFIS and the Sandia 165R XPNDR

Ok folks.
Looks like I (with help from electronic nerds on the airfield) have resolved why my transponder would not talk to my EFIS. There was a wiring harness issue that had a wire mislabeled and a pin in the connection was wrong as well (at least that is what my electronic help told me). After testing and head scratching, the transponder has now shed its red X. So the transponder is talking to the Discovery Lite. But here is the new dilemma...the transponder now shows only 7777 in the ident window. I cannot get it to hold a code of 1200 or any other number. It reverts back to 7777. I don't remember seeing anything in the menu/transponder set-up for this...but may have missed it.

Anybody else see this on your installation and setup?

I can think of two reasons you may want to check.

1) in the efis you have to set the default codes for vfr squak, etc in the efis sub menu
2) have you updated first your efis software and then your transponder through the efis sub?

If those all fail, do what I did. :). Call Matt at mgl and have him send you the new can bus harness he now has. Then it's an instant plug and play like the sp6.

That solved all my issues including the common one that doesn't turn on the transponder right away at boot up of the efis.
