HYDRAULIC BRAKE LINE ROUTING

Postby Jim B » Wed Oct 28, 2015 6:22 am

I have had the aero conversion hydraulic brake kit since it was first offered by the factory but have not installed yet. I am now getting ready to install them in my tri gear sonex. I am looking for advice on routing of the hydraulic line in the trigear configuration from the master cylinder to the gear leg. I have the brake lever set up on the left side of the cockpit per plans. Is it routed through the wing spar tunnel under the wing spar or some other way?
Thanks in advance

Attached are three links to pictures of how I installed on my plane. I routed them through the main spar and then looped into the legs. I created two small .032 brackets to hold the tubes into a nice bend on the forward side of the spar. The right line will have very little to no extra length, so keep the run direct as possible. Hope this helps.

Also, in the sport trainer controls thread, John posted some great pics of nosegear brake line routing.
