Like some others, I had an issue with the cross tie box pushing out the longerons with the resultant width being greater than 40". I have the machined hole components so I'm not sure why everyone doesn't have this problem with this option. Anyways, I relieved the cross tie box to clear the longerons and now I'm at exactly 40".

This is a clear picture of the cross tie box with 3/32 taken off each end.

I also had to make new F23-12 clips which were also CNC produced because they pushed the fuselages sides out too much. These dimensions must have been taken from the same datum point as the cross tie box, making their placement incorrect also.

Turtle deck on, formers in and up drilling. I envy builders with sons who can get into small places (Bryan C.!!!)

Looks good Darick! Truth in advertising regulations require me to admit I did all the inside work on the TD while Adam did the outside work. I would hold the ribs, he would sight the blue line and drill. Aleve is good too.

Looking great! Does the inspector bite if he doesn't like the workmanship?

I'm curious if your puppy will constantly lick at the polished sides of the aircraft like mine does (once it's low enough to reach!) Mine is covered in saliva marks from tip to tail.

Yikes!

She hasn't had the opportunity yet, but she loves to lick people. Soon it will be on the gear so I'll discover if that's the case.

It's no big deal, nothing a quick wipe of mineral spirits can't take care of. It lets me know she cares.
