Center "Pin" size of propeller spinner

I received my new Sensenich propeller today (which is beautiful), but have put in an email to Sonex Tech support with the following concern.





The diameter of the center "pin" in my prop spinner (provided in my Sonex kit for Aerovee engine) is 3/4 inch. The diameter of the center hole in the propeller (also ordered from Sonex, the Aerovee Turbo "climb" prop) is 1 inch. How important is it that these holes match?

It is no concern really, just so long as the other six holes match up..... The spinner is just a fancy crush plate anyway.

While I got you, how long did it take to get your Turbo Climb Pro?

Ordered May 7, delivered July 1. So about 8 weeks.

Received my response from Sonex:

Ryan,

The center hole has no bearing on the function or performance of the propeller. So long as the 6 bolt holes line up with the spinner, prop, and hub, you’re good to go."

I had the same issue with my sterba prop and also my new prince prop. I went to the local hardware store and bought a brass 3/4 to 1 inch bushing for 2 dollars and fit perfect. Like Sonex said it is no big deal. I just found one that fit. And made me feel better.
