Thanks for sharing, It made me revisit my trip to the top almost five years ago on 10/10/10. It was a spur of the moment trip my cousins and I went on after she got divorced she felt the need to clear her head. Even though we left at O dark thirty, it wasn't enough, we were hiking at night at the last portion. Even though we made good time on the way up we made it to the trail peak right on the verge of the go/no go deadline, 2 of us were ok with turning around, but Nina wouldn't hear it. I'm glad she persuaded us to push on and summit.
I was paranoid about not having enough water so my pack was way too heavy in hindsight. There was quite a bit of snow and I couldn't have made it without the trekking poles. Whenever I do it again, I'm sure I'll be better prepared.
