Rectorseal #5 for fuel fittings

Anyone have experience using Rectorseal #5 for fuel tank and fuel line fittings? The specs say it's good for fuel (leaded or unleaded), it's inexpensive and I plan to use it for my fittings (in place of the ambiguous "teflon paste" called for in the plans.) It lubricates the threads and has a soft set. Just want to check in on others' opinions.

I'm not completely sure how I ended up using Rectorseal #5, but that's what I used. I cleaned the fuel filter recently (~95 hrs total time and probably 80 hrs since I checked it last) and there were some yellow specks that seemed like they might be Rectorseal, but they didn't seem like anything that could be an issue. There also don't seem to be any leaks.

No idea how it compares to Fuel Lube.

Thanks Chris. Biggest question I've come up with is how well it might hold up to higher temps firewall forward. For the fuel tank though, it seems to fit the application.

I used fuel lube for all my fuel connections on my previous homebuilt (firewall forward and aft). 500 hrs and no leaks and connectors are easy to disassemble without gunk.

Appreciate the input. I did use rectorseal #5 on the fuel tank fittings, and have ordered fuel lube to use on the rest, thanks to your recommendations and its high-temp capability.

FWIW, a couple local A&P's recommended Tite Seal to me for these fittings and others. It looks similar to what Joe recommended. I have used this stuff on everything and it is awesome! Just another option. I have the medium weight.
