The Pilot Card

Postby Andy Walker » Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:00 am

Hey guys, yesterday I applied for a VISA card called "The Pilot Card" based on a recommendation on the Sonextalk Yahoo Group.

Now, credit cards are evil and should be paid off each month. That said, if you use this card when paying you get a 2% discount AND free shipping from Aircraft Spruce! I don't know about ya'll, but I've spent a LOT of money in ACS shipping over the past year, so this will probably save me quite a bit of scratch.

Not bad! I have the EAA card. It's 1% cash back (or towards catalog items) and offers most items between 2% and 10% off at Aircraft Spruce.

BTW, I contacted ACS and asked them about exclusions, since the fine print of the card says "exclusions apply." They said the only exclusion is that there is no 2% discount on products where the price is fixed to MSRP by the manufacturer, such as Garmin GPS units. I would not expect to get a discount on that kind of thing, since the profit is fixed, and probably small. Still ships free though. :)
