Did any of you have to modify the indent on the back of the wooden sensenich prop after switching to the force one hub? The original prop I took off had some more removed from said area. Wondering if this is the norm.

John,
My plane has an Aerovee engine and was fitted with a Force One hub and a Sensenich prop. I didn't build it so I don't know if the prop was modified (I doubt it). Can I take measurements or send you a picture that would help? Can you tell where and why the prop was altered?

I was the original builder of Marks plane. If you are switching from an AeroVee hub to a force one, yes you have to modify the prop to allow for the larger centering section on the force one. I also modified the force one hub to accept the AeroVee prop lugs. Worked well.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. How did you go about enlarging the center and keep it centered so there is no wobble?

Also, where can I get the Aerovee prop lugs. The person I bought the plane from didn't register with Sonex so I don't think I can either.

John, Would not make that assumption about not being able to register with Sonex until you check with them directly. The small fee is worthwhile for the support available.

Hi guys, seems like everyone thinks I might be able to register. I will have to contact them and find out.

After giving it some thought I was able to modify my prop. Haven't started it yet but it tracked true using a block of wood for guidance.

Thanks for the replies, John
