Sonex down

Did the Sport Acro get converted to a two place plane? I saw it years ago and it was setup single place.

My heart is in my throat. Dreading to find out who was onboard.

Honestly I don't remember looking in the cabin of the SA.

I agree with the article, I feel like I've been punched in the gut.

I'm sorry for the Monett family and the entire Sonex family.

When I hear news about a Sonex crashing it's usually someone I don't know, and I'm able to rationalize that they either didn't build the plane well, tune the engine correctly, or didn't have proper flight training. I can't rationalize this one, it's just sad, and I can't help but think that could be me...

From all the Sonex fans in N. texas/Sherman area, we all send our prayers and condolences to both families and ask God to be with them in this accident. Their passing is a great loss to us all.

I am sitting here at work and I am wearing a Sonex shirt, because it is all I could think to do.

To our friends in Oshkosh, we love you all very dearly. We are all heartbroken.

Absolutely gut wrenching news. I'm in total shock. Jeremy had worked closely with me to get my plans set since I wanted a specific serial number. He would never fail to ask how my project was coming every year at Airventure. Thoughts and prayers to the entire Monnett family, the Sonex team and Mike's family during this terrible time. Mike was going through flight training as I was finishing up in Pulaski WI. Mike was a great guy and he will be truly missed.

The only pictures I have of myself sitting in a completed Sonex are pictures Jeremy kindly took of me during my workshop visit in October 2013. I was honored to meet him at the time, he was very kind and gracious, and a wonderful spokesperson for Sonex. I don't believe I met Mike Clark, however my sincerest regrets and condolences go to the families and friends of those involved in this tragedy.

I really don't know what to say. Jeremy took time to respond thoughtfully to my emails about random airplane ideas even though I was/am just a random wannabe on the interwebs. Now I'll never get the chance to meet him.
