Scott,
A couple of things I want to bring to your attention from your photos. First, if you keep wires cable tied to your spark plug wires you are going to get lots of electronic noise and interference. Your oil pressure readings, for instance may go all over the place and it may carry other noise into your radac unit and electrical system. Keep the spark plug wires away from all other wires. Second, you will need to wrap your fuel lines in insulated Thermo-Tec reflective tape. Your routing of the fuel lines as shown in the plans requires extra measures to keep the exhaust heat minimized. Finally, the oil pressure sender wire is subject to a great deal of stress on the Aerovee due to being out in the turbulent air of the intake and the engine vibration. Consider a length of heat shrink and securing it to the engine case. These are lessons I learned the hard way. Your workmanship looks great!

Scott, it also looks like you have the same throttle setup I have. Be very careful not to kink the throttle cable when you tighten the set screw. Once it kinks it is useless and will always kink when you reduce the throttle. I had to file a notch into the screw so it would not turn when I tightened it.

Also, anytime you adjust the mixture needle on the AerInjector make sure you lock the throttle full forward with a string or wire to prevent kinking of the cable at the throttle or inside the AeroInjector.

I think this is what they mean when it's said your 90% done, and have 90% to go! Started polishing the fuselage so I could apply my WWII themed graphics, and it kinda became an on again off again project this month. Happy to report the sides and upper fuselage (turtledeck) are as done as they will be for now. 5-6 passes of F9, and 2-3 passes of C grade polish. Graphics are applied to both sides...wish there were more (they are fun to apply and give instant gratification for money well spent)! If anyone is wondering, these were purchased through Flyboy.com











Also found something that makes polishing just a touch more bearable (won't go as far to say enjoyable)!



My son has gotten a little bit more interested in the airplane project now that it's closer to being done,and electrons are flowing through the system.



Now I can get back to finishing the canopy, started trimming the canopy a few weekends ago but have had many distractions (family health and sons end of school year stuff)...
