Sonex spinner ?

Postby Sonex541 » Thu Apr 23, 2015 7:44 am

Well I finally got around to install my new prince prop. The problem is the bore in the front of the prop is a lot bigger in diameter than the Sonex spinner. I don't know if someone before me machined down the spinner to fit the smaller diameter sterba prop or what happened. The diameter on my Sonex spinner is only about 1/2 inch were the prince prop bore hole is about 1 inch. Not sure what to do. The bore on the back fits the prop hub perfect .can someone tell me the diameter of the Sonex spinner. To see if mine has been turned down. Thanks adam

I have the revmaster. But yes I figured it was machined down to fit the sterba prop , not sure if I need to buy a new one. But more than likely

I just checked my spinner (included in the Sonex kit for Aerovee) and the "pin" at the rear is exactly 3/4".

Does the "pin" on the spinner serve a purpose? Seems if the bolts are all secure the pin isn't needed.

Well after further investigating my old prop there was a bushing that I popped out and installed on the spinner and it fit perfect into the new prince prop , has anyone else. Had to install a bushing between there spinner and prop , never seen or heard of it before but hey it works
