Sonex could provide tanks without any molded in fittings, at all. That would allow each builder to install their own fittings as needed.
However, I'm sure this "solution" would piss off as many people as it would satisfy.

What would be really cool would be for Sonex to sell a fuel tank with fittings that don't leak or spin out.

...Or they could get fed up with people complaining no matter what they do; so they'll go back to people having to build their own tanks... like Van's Aircraft does. Imagine the "fun" of having to build the tank, seal the tank, and install every single fitting (and seal it and check each one for leaks)!

It would only piss off those who think they will never have to deal with a spun fitting.
Probably the best solution so far, no molded fittings. And with a kit, give you the OPPS fittings to install yourself.
To start from a clean slate with no holes, the OPPS fittings would install very easily.
The molded fittings are substandard and will spin after submersed for a period or over tightened.
