What else do you fly?

Postby MichaelFarley56 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 11:09 pm

Since a lot of people on this forum have not yet completed their projects, I'm guessing we're all flying some other kinds of airplanes. I thought it might be interesting to see what everyone is currently flying while they finish their planes.

Since I brought it up, I'll go first...

Professional job:
-Hawker 800XP
-KingAir 350

Flight Instruction:
Cessna 172/182/210/310
Cirrus SR 20/22

Other Homebuilts:
Wheeler Express CT

So what else are you flying?

Over priced, antiquated, and under powered rental C-152/172's... as well as the Grumman Tiger that my company owns.

C-150,172 would prefer a Cherokee but there are none available :(

Citabria: My favourite, just got my aerobatics endorsement in it.
Piper Warrior: for navigation flights and when carrying more than 1 passenger.
C152: rarely these days as the Warrior is about the same price to hire.
C172: rarely these days as the Warrior is about the same price to hire.

I fly an RV-4 that I bought flying 2 yrs ago . Fixing someone else's work made me want to build my own airplane so it can be exactly what I want it to be from the start ! I'm also presently getting checked out in the Harvard (AT-6) which definitely hones the taildragger skills ! I also dabble in unpowered flight in my Discus glider .

Professionally , I just did my last flight as an F/O on the Boeing 777 and am presently in training to be an A 320 Captain .

Oh yah, I've also been building and flying models since I was 8 . Most recently turbine powered models . I wonder if they'll kit the Subsonex :D

C172(training days), C182 (company aircraft), PA44 Seminole(Multi IFR training), C150 (stock 100 hp, strait tail), and I banner tow with C150/180 (180HP STC'd for towing).

I built a RV7 in 2003, as a Canadian QB trial for Van's, but didn't fly it. :(

At this point I'm saving my pennies for a Waiex. Probably going to start the tail this month.

Cheer, Norm.. (Structurespilot)
Waiex Tail kit built! Working on Corvair engine core.
