Bryan,

Look like you are just outside of the Chicago Class B Veil. I'll put you of the "places to stop for fuel" in July on the way to Oshkosh!

Keep up the fantastic progress Scott! Your panel looks awesome! Look forward to seeing your Sonex make its first trip to Oshkosh. Last year my wife and I flew my Sonex into Oshkosh for the first time last year and can't wait to do it again this year. What an amazing experience!

I am beginning to build a Waiex. I have the tail section completed and am at a stand still until the Fuselage section comes in, I ordered it a week ago. I am building in stages so I can get my plane paid for by the time I finish the build.
I would really like to correspond with other builders via this Fourm, but I don,t know how to send photos, and even posting this message is a hit or miss as far as communicating on a one to one basis. I have no problem doing email. I,d really like to get in the group with the rest of you guys.

Sincerely

Hi Al

Your posts are working. We can see them.

If anyone near Al is building a Waiex maybe they could reach out via email. Anyone else with Waiex experience also please. Al could use some assistance. (I am building a Sonex so I only can help to a point)

Steady progress on the cowling. Not necessarily tough, but it does require a method for following the steps outlined in the Sonex supplemental written directions.

I'm somewhere in the 16-18 hour mark now with the cowling. Probably about 2/3rd's of the way there...not counting finish and paint.

Looks great Scott! Keep that momentum going and don't let your troop trick you into a trailer rebuild project!
Actually they didn't trick me, I knew I was the guy and told them I would do it after I got on the gear.

Scott, The cowling is looking good! What did you have to do to get the radius to work out better for you?
