Have you riveted the lower skin on yet? Looking back, I think that time in the build was one of the most fun, since the project really starts looking like an airplane. Hopefully you'll be fitting the wings here really soon! (you'll need to do that first before you add the back of the spar carry through, and once that's done you'll be able to work on the lower seat assemblies).

Thanks! Wings are not started yet, so a ways to go yet. The floor is not riveted on, I'm still in the process of putting everything together pilot drilled. then I'll have to drill out to full size and take it all apart to deburr and clean up before final assembly. You know, it just occurred to me...instead of "don't drill yet" I think the circles maybe mean "pilot drill only."

Yeah that would probably work, at least for these holes. My guess is that the circles indicate predrilled holes in the floor skin (at least that's what I went with) but as I think I mentioned, I don't see any harm in pilot drilling the longerons. In fact, it may be a good idea so you can deburr those holes before you rivet the bottom skin in place.

I'm sure you've read or been told before, but as you rivet the side skins together be careful of what parts you rivet prior to fitting the wings. There are several angle pieces and gussets that you do not rivet at this point. You can go ahead and fit, up drill, and deburr, but don't rivet them yet! Most of them are right behind the spar carry through. Nothing really challenging but I can see where someone on a roll would accidentally rivet them on, and they would have to get drilled off later.

Not that I ever had to do that on any parts... :? ;)

Yeah, I was careful as to the "do not rivet" areas on the side panels, and already had to remove those parts to install the spar tunnel...

The final answer from Kerry is: don't do anything with them yet. I guess some under seat stuff gets setup inside, then drill it all at once later.
