Make Your Own Air/Oil Separator

I decided to make my own oil/air separator.
Pretty much as per the instructions here:

I made one similar out of pvc plumbing as well. It worked just fine, but not long after discoloured due to heat from the exhaust. I had heat wrap on the exhausts already. It may have been ok but I removed it and purchased and aluminum one from a automotive shop. The sonex factory one was too large for my engine bay.

I used a $5.00 anodised aluminum water bottle along with a bicycle water bottle holder to mount it. Works beautifully if you're not interested in returning anything back to the engine. I'd include a pic or two, but get "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." when I try.

I was still getting enough oil vapor coming out the relief tube (and running across the bottom of the fuselage) that I finally put in a catch can instead of dumping it overboard. It's primarily vapor, so there isn't much that accumulates in the catch can.
