Turbo Aerovee kit delivery pics

Postby Rynoth » Wed Dec 03, 2014 9:33 am

Took delivery of my Turbo kit yesterday, here are some pics for those curious.

5 boxes filled my hatchback. Brought them down to my workbench myself. Total shipping weight of the pallet was 290lbs, but the heaviest box was only 60-70lbs.

Here is a peek inside each of the boxes.

And finally here are pics of the turbo itself.

The turbo itself is surprisingly heavy, I weighed it at 14.2 lbs.

1. Is that a VW inside of a VW? Man this is like that "inception" film.
2. Yes, that is a very manly turbo!

Yes it was! It had turbo engines in the front and in the back! It was interesting to carry an engine kit that was worth more than the car it was in...

I think that in terms of the ratio of engine value to car value, I have you beat!
