Bing Air Questions

I am connecting up the air system to the Bing Carb. I am using the stock Jabiru air filter box with integral carb heat diverter.

The manual says the air supply to the filtered air box needs to be connected to outside air, not from inside the cowling. I thought I have read that connecting to outside air could create uneven fuel/air distribution.
Where should the air supply be connected?
It certainly would be easiest to leave as is open to the air inside the cowling.

I have a manifold pressure sensor built into the GRT R66 EIS. I would like to connect it just because it is there. Is there an easy solution to connect to the induction system?

Hi Rick. This is how I connected the airbox to outside air. The NACA duct is fixed to the cowl and just plugs into the airbox fitting as the cowl goes on. I always meant to replace this polyester glass prototype, but 10 years and 500hrs later its still there and working.

Thanks Steve, I'll look at my options for getting outside air. Maybe from the inlet air to the oil cooler?

I Finished the duct between the carb and filter housing today.
