After flying our 3300 Jabiru for a few hundred hours years ago, and consistently finding oil in the puke can (some water, too), we designed, built and tested an air/oil separator that worked great and have been using it ever since. After our success, we had many requests to offer these units for sale, and have been selling them since 2012 with over 200 sold worldwide.

We have a new batch of units for 2200 and 3300's in stock, and you can find information at www.motionaero.com . If interested in reducing oil consumption and/or eliminating oil stains on the belly of your plane, give us a call.

Thanks!

Mark,

Put one on my Waiex about 4 months ago. Had some other unrelated engine issues that shortened my flying season for a couple of months but, I'm back at it again and I love not having to wipe the bottom of the plane every couple of flights. Now the only thing I have to wipe down is the exhaust stains in the tunnels.
Mine is mounted to the stock right side shroud at about a 15 degree angle allowing for return even in my conventional gear configuration. Plenty of room inside the Sonex cowl to do this. I routed from the rear of the breather to a hose with a 270 degree decending circle to the top of the downtube. That one has a 90 degree bend pointing towards the right side of the cowl.
The whole system took about an hour to install including a bracket riveted to the right shroud to hold the unit with two steel clamps. Slick.
