radio buzzing from right mag/coil

Guys in an effort to track down my radio noise upon reception, I stumbled on a buzzing during my mag check today. I am trying some earbuds inside my headset to cut down on outside noise and have noticed a buzzing I think may have always been there but hidden by exterior noise coming into the headset. Today the buzzing quit when I dropped my right mag/coil during preflight check. I find this to be at least a positive in my ability to locate the source of the noise. That being said is there a way to shield this one coil? or should I be looking at replacement even though it is working ok? I am thinking at least getting rid of some of the noise will be benificial if not being able to get rid of the noise completely.
