I liked my Sensenich but I love my Prince because it does not peel paint in the rain.

I'll back that up. On our return from OSH i had the chance to fly my Waiex through 100 miles of rain at the end of our trip. I was convinced I trashed the prop. But the only thing I found was all the bugs were washed off and the prop was clean as new.

Care to say what power setting you were using? I've flown through light rain at about 2600 rpm (Prince P Tip on Aerovee) with no noticeable effect except the propeller being a little cleaner afterwards.

We were running around 2600rpm too, economy cruise.

When in the rain with my Sensenich I would use around 2400-2500 rpm where I normally run 2650-2850. One might be able to keep the paint on at the expense of not holding altitude.

The P-tip prop that Prince recommend for the 3300 in a Sonex is a 54 x 60. I did 50 hours with mine but found it a bit too fine-pitched for cruising. Some figures are:
Full throttle static: 3000 rpm
Straight and level WOT: about 3350 rpm at about 140knots
Full throttle climb from take-off: 3000 to 3050 rpm
Cruise at 120 knots and 21 litres/hour: 2950 rpm
On a trip to a fly-in, a friend with a 3300 powered Sonex with 54 x 64 Sensenich prop had to slow up slightly for me. On the trip home he gradually left me behind. I think the 54 x 60 would be good for aerobatics, but I'm not rated. If you intend flying any distance I'd recommend a 62" pitch. I have just tried a 56 x 64 wood P-tip and it's too coarse. Damn.

Prince 54 x 60 mass = 2.82 kg or 6.22 pounds. Can't help with Sensenich info.
