Aerovee 80 Spark Plug Threads

I'm a new owner of a Waiex with a Aerovee 80. The builder put about 9 hours on the engine. Ground only. The builder informed me that no. 3 cylinder top spark plug thread is soft. Also, it might be hard to remove. I am considering three options. 1. a new head. 2. timesert. 3. timeserts for all spark plug threads. As I understand it is better to remove plugs when the engine is cold. If so would the temperature being in the 30's be better than say the 50's? Any known timesert success and failurers?

Do a search for timesert and you will see positive feedback. My heads have been fine but I plan to install 8 timeserts at overhaul. If you are up for pulling the heads I'd go with option 3. Also be sure to read this thread and decide your approach to seal the cylinders and pushrod tubes:
