Hey everyone, what do you think is the best insulation for the fuel line, there are so many choices.

John,
I used two layers of firesleeve. It is not supposed to be insulation, but it seems to work that way.

Red firesleeve does the job nicely. Take care you do not select a dimension that fits too tightly over the fuel line: a loose fit that does not have to be massaged over the line is good. And make sure you seal off both ends of the sleeve.

To keep the fire sleeve from soaking up oil or fuel, use red RTV mixed with mineral spirits to create a thick liquid. Dip the ends of the fire sleeve into the mix, fully saturating the white fiberglass insulation. Let dry, then install.
