Spark Plugs
Posted: Sun May 30, 2021 12:15 pmCurious about what spark plugs everyone is using. Currently, I'm using Autolite 4163 on the bottom and NGK DCPR7E (or Champion RA7YC) on top. I can't find one that beats the Autolite 4163 on price.
I'm using the NGK or Champion plugs on top because they use 5/8" hex and I can't get an 11/16" socket for the 4163's under the intake elbow. Is there a trick to using the 4163's on top without an intake spacer? I have the new Sonex EMPI heads and no intake spacer.

Autolite 4163- 11/16" hex
NGK DR8ES - 18mm Hex, Discontinued
NGK DR8EA - 18mm Hex
Champion RA6HC - 5/8" Hex, Non-projected tip

NGK 4179 DCPR8E - 5/8" Hex, Solid terminal
