Oil Cap Mod

A little mod to the oil cap to make it easier to grip to open. Especially if reaching through a small oil door in the cowl. The "lacing eye" ring came from West Marine...

Just might have to steal that idea for 541...

How about using an old style 1 1/2" key ring through a bolt/screw and nut of your choice. Works for me.

I was trying to avoid any nut on the inside of the cap that might work loose and fall inside the case. The lacing eye is riveted to the edges of the cap outside the case.

GraemeSmith: The bolt/screw goes in from the bottom and the nut of your choice goes to the top side. Now you drill a hole through the bolt/screw and if you wish, the nut and install the key ring. Tell me ---- how is going to fall into the crankcase? Its not!
