Any one have a good way to make this puppy stay in the hole. The dust plug in my AI is a loose fit and keeps falling out.

I lost mine several years ago and haven't missed it. I finished my experiments with the different needles at 50 hours on the hobbs and haven't touched the AeroInjector since except to clean the air cleaner. I'm at 285 hobbs now and it hasn't needed any changes since then. My temps. are good, WOT is good, and it idles smooth at the same mixture setting as WOT. I only richen it a little more on climb out to help cool a rear cylinder, then back to the normal mixture setting for cruise EGT's. I don't have to touch the mixture again till the next flight. It couldn't be simpler.

I found a replacement at Ace Hardware. I think it is just a plastic hole cover but it works fine. Of course, I just found the original yesterday behind the #1 cylinder. Figures, right?

Just discovered that the slide pushes the plug out of it's hole in the full throttle position. Nipped the ears a little to eliminate contact. Seems secure enough for now. We'll see.
I don't think it's impossible to get a plug (probably would have to be metal) that fits so tight as to keep the slide from reaching it's full travel.
