Hey all,
I have cleaned out the inside of my case - but what about the galleries? The ends of the galley are capped off, so any fod would have to leave via the hole for the oil pump outlet. Flood with solvent and hope for the best? Compressed air and a prayer?

Some of the guys who rebuild old bugs remove the plugs and de-gunk them.

But for a new engine - are there chips in there?

Didn't hear back from the peanut gallery so this is what I did. Mineral spirits squirted via my two-stroke oil measuring device through all the holes I could.

Flushed out a few large chips and a bunch of small magnesium particles.
