My new to me Sonerai with Aerocarb does not have a dust cap. I looked into it today because I want to lean the mixtute for warmer weather. The manual says I need to remove a set screw fisrt, but I am not sure if what I see is the set screw or the adjustment screw. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It appears to silver in color. If it is then that would be the lock screw as the actual needle adjustment screw is brass. Remove the set screw all the way from the slide and adjust the needle screw clockwise for lean or counter clockwise for rich. Before removing the set screw make sure fuel cant flow to the carburetor and move throttle to full throttle. Otherwise you will be fishing the set screw out of the carb body. Don't ask how I know or how many times I had to learn that lesson.

Robin,
If you haven't found it yet, you can download the manual for the current or earlier version of the Aerocarb here:

One word of advice, the needle adjustment screw is very coarse, meaning small adjustments move it a lot. When adjusting ⅛ turns are best between tests.

Bill, thank you. It is great help, and I will follow your pointers.
Byron, yes, I download the aerocarb manual. Thanks.
