mixture is stuck

My mixture is stuck and its not the cable. When the cable is un-hooked it slides fine,so the problem must be on the Areocarb. I did have the engine off and it is back on but the carb was never taken off. It was working before the motor was removed.
Maybe I did something during the removal? Any ideas?

I assume you disconnected the mixture cable from the aerocarb mixture arm when you determined that the cable slides fine? Can you move the mixture arm by hand?

Make sure you read the manual for the aerocarb so you know exactly how the mixture cable needs to be re-attached.

Other than that, I really don't know how this could get stuck, it's a pretty simple valve.

Discovered that when moving the arm by hand it will stick when it hits the end of it's travel. Am thinking of lubing it with some WD-40 and see what happens.

So, it's sticking when you are in the idle cut-off position? Does it stick even if you pull it to idle cut-off very gently?

The aeroinjector manual describes how you can remove the valve, flush it with mineral spirits, and lubricate the o-ring with fuel proof lubricant if it is leaking. The manual also mentions that under normal use the lubricant and o-ring never need replacement.

I'd probably remove the valve and see if there's any mechanical defect causing it to stick and personally wouldn't use WD-40 since they call out fuel proof lubricant.

I took the carb off after work today. Hopefully will get to check it out tomorrow.
Thanks for the advise Chris.
