A point of clarification for anyone reading this ad. There is no such thing as a "factory built" AeroVee engine. AeroConversions/Sonex does not sell, and has never sold complete factory-built engines. Too, we do not offer a service whereby a customer can send a completed engine to us and have us "go through" it. Either this engine was misrepresented by the original seller, or it is not an AeroVee engine.

A couple of additional points:

- Going off a runway "at very low speed" will NOT cause the nose gear to collapse"

- Any prop strike needs to be treated as a prop strike. In a small aero engine of any type that usually means replacing the crank shaft

Agreed.
I was going to say, $5000 is a lot of money for an engine that had a prop strike.
