Fuel line fire sleeve size

Postby Gripdana » Tue Jan 13, 2015 9:00 am

I am not near my project this week and want to order fire sleeve so I have it for this weekend. What size fits the Sonex recommended fuel line?

I used AE102-12 (3/4" ID) from Aircraft Spruce. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/a ... sleeve.php

I think it was more expensive than my fuel line.

Edit:

Looks like others used 5/8". Now that I think about it, 5/8" might be a better fit than the 3/4" size I bought.

I used the 5/8" I.D. firesleeve. Snug fit over your -6 hose and tubing fittings. And of course a little looser once it gets over the fitting and onto the hose/tube.

Hi Dana, yes the aircraft spruce fuel line sleeve 5/8 is good, is blue colored. Fits over the braided line we got from Jegs, used for fuel and oil cooler lines. Also good to order the ss clamps and the $25 clamping tool works fine.

How much flexible hose and fire-sleeve am I likely to need for my Aerovee?
