Hi all

I am at the point in my AeroVee build where I am about to install the seal and shims on the flywheel.

Interested in others efforts here.

I used an oil seal installation tool that I bought from jbugs for cheap. It made installing the seal easy. I did put a light amount of grease on the shims. The "how to rebuild a VW" book said to put grease there. It seemed like the right thing to do since there is oil going through there.

Phew, finally after several attempts, maybe I'm in.
I thought I might be helpful to share what I did to stop oil from coming out of my engine.
Before I get into a long narrative, I will need to post a picture. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this would be appreciated.

If you want to send it to me I will post it for you. It took a while to figure out how to post photos. My email is gripdana@yahoo.com.

Same here. If anyone has photos they need posted and cannot do it, we have an unlimited photo storage on the foundation's Zenfolio account.

Email me the photos at robbie@sonexfoundation.org and I will post them and we will keep them posted on Zenfolio also.
