OK.
Ran separate ground wires to magnetrons...no change
Used a timing light to make a random index mark to find where 28 degrees BTDC is, then from that mark, checked secondary CDI ignition timing... wow it was about 40 degrees BTDC!!!! even though I set it according to picture in Aerovee manual.
Set cdi ignition to 28 degrees BTDC using timing light and index mark from primary ignition...
Now there is little to no drop in rpm during mag check. Also carb need further enriching due to timing change.
I'll have this thing running like a swiss watch soon...
